ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK REPORT

THIS REPORT IS FOR ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.

9/22/18 UPDATED 9:35 AM Getting better bass now, bigger blues now, and it looks to blue skies for most of the rest of the day today with a perfect northwest wind.

UPDATED 4:28 AM Saw the Big Dipper right over the shop this morning as I came in so there are some clear skies this morning. Loads of fish. Some anglers saying "as many bluefish as you want". Mullet, metal, paddletails, bucktails. Just reloaded Kettle Creek paddletails. Today is the last day of fluke and there are a good amount of small bass being caught as well.

Yesterday's Report: UPDATED 7:13 AM Lots of whitewater today and it looks and smells fishy. I'm sure it will be blues in the 1 to 6 pound range all day like it has been lately, but don't discount the local bass being caught. Most are short, so please be carefyl with the release.

UPDATED 4:18 AM Walmed had slowed and switched to southeast. Always a good bluefish wind for this time of year. Conditions should be prime as well as being a great Fall fishing day. Looks to be like this the entire weekend.
