ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK REPORT

THIS REPORT IS FOR ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.

5/22/18 UPDATED 7:47 AM Hope I don't put the "MUSH" on it, but fishing is really getting good. I have even gotten reports of keeper fluke, a good amount of them, being bi-caught and released on bucktails. Docks are getting better and better with big blues and some bass. There was big bass on the beach last night in Seaside Park as well.

Yesterday's Report: UPDATED 4:00 PM Just got another report that it hasn't been a good day, it's been a VERY GOOD day. One angler told me he had 15 blues, 7 bass, all on bait.

UPDATED 3:47 PM Good day so far today as we have weighed in a few keeper bass ranging from 10 to 18 pounds, and a nice 14 pound bluefish on topwater, very good sign that these fish are starting to become more aggressive with the rising water temps. Loads of short bass again today on clams.

UPDATED 4:48 AM Even with the south wind yesterday, there was still a good amount of fish caught. The Governor's Tourney was pretty productive with over 50 fish being checked in, most of them bluefish. Some bass, some black drum. Conditions and weather should be prime today with a light north wind, no humidity, and starry skies.
